 Mark Ebbeskotte, a native of Delphos, Ohio, completed his undergraduate studies at Bowling Green State University receiving a Bachelor's degree in business administration with a major in accounting. Immediately thereafter, Mr. Ebbeskotte attended the University of Toledo, College of Law and completed his legal studies in 1989. While attending law school, Mr. Ebbeskotte was employed by the City of Toledo Tax Department where he was responsible for preparing civil litigation against delinquent taxpayers. His professional legal career began in Cleveland, Ohio with Ernst and Young, as a tax consultant advising clients on corporate and individual tax planning matters.
In 1991, Mr. Ebbeskotte relocated to Lima, Ohio, and became an associate with the law firm of Hunt, Moritz & Johnson and a closing officer for Terra Title Agency of Northwest Ohio, Inc., a real estate closing firm. In 1997, Mr. Ebbeskotte became a partner with the law firm of Hunt, Moritz, Johnson & Ebbeskotte and in 1999, the law firm changed its name to Hunt, Johnson & Ebbeskotte. That same year Mr. Ebbeskotte become a licensed title insurance agent with First American Title Insurance Agency, Inc., and an owner in the real estate closing firm of Terra Title Agency of Northwest Ohio, Inc. In the following years he built a reputation for providing clients with quality real estate, business, and estate planning and administration advice and assistance, while growing Terra Title into one of the highest volume closing agencies in the Lima, Allen County, Ohio area.
In 2003, Mr. Ebbeskotte relocated to the central Ohio area and will add his experience, knowledge and commitment to client service as an associate attorney at Hallowes, Allen and Haynes. Mr. Ebbeskotte's practice will focus on real estate, estate planning and administration, and business law. Mr. Ebbeskotte will also be a closing agent for the firm's newly created title agency, Barrister Land Title Assurance, LLC and will work to build that business by providing high quality real estate closing experience for the firm's growing real estate practice.
