 Jessica Spears, a native or Millersport, Ohio, is a 2001 graduate of Capital
University, where she double majored in Criminology and Political Science. Ms. Spears
obtained her Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School in May 2004. Upon passing the July 2004 bar exam in late October, Ms. Spears became the firm's newest associate attorney.
Capital University Law School's curriculum provided Ms. Spears the opportunity to focus her legal study to the area of Governmental Affairs whereby she received a Certificate of Concentration in Government Affairs Law along with her Juris Doctorate degree. As part of her concentration, Ms. Spears studied in the areas of local government law, labor law, administrative law and legislation.
While attending law school, Ms. Spears worked at Hallowes, Allen & Haynes for two years as a law clerk. While working as a law clerk, Ms. Spears gained experience early in the areas of business, real estate, probate and personal injury law. In addition to her clerking experience, Ms. Spears completed a legal externship during her third year of law school with The Supreme Court of Ohio, Attorney Services Division.
Ms. Spears practices primarily in the areas of bankruptcy, personal injury, wills and trusts, and estate planning and administration.
